Funny X Mean

At the crossroads of Funny and Mean is this Vogue article by Bloomingdale’s heiress Hayley Bloomingdale. She writes The Instagram Rules: The Good, the Bad, and the Very BoringBut who made her the Queen of ‘Gram? I think it is a pretty hilarious, though harsh, article. But, I follow no rules for Instagram. My advise? Just ‘Gram what you want, when you want.

After-all, she does say the rules are made to be broken…

The New Whitney

I finally made it to the new Whitney museum. Yes! Situated on the west side, just below the Highline with impressive views of the Hudson and the city, the Whitney is quite a site inside and out.

Here are a few pictures I took of the artwork.

America art…Georgia O’Keeffe. This floating deer head was my favorite piece.A light installation of utility wires which made me a little dizzy.C an’t wait to go back!

Balmain Campaign Fall 2015

It’s really no surprise that i’m obsessed with Balmain’s siblings campaign because I love everything Kendall does. Described as a “celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings”have a look at these photos below.

The Compliment Club

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this blog post since I read it over a week ago. It brought me so much joy to read this, I can’t help but share it. Above all, what a good, positive reminder to send out to the world. Link below. Happy reading.

The Rules:

  1. Look for the positive in other people
  2. Be genuine
  3. Be specific
  4. Be heartfelt about how things make you FEEL
  5. Chill on the back handed compliments
  6. Just go for it!
  7. Don’t expect anything in return

You have to believe in yourself, or no one else is going to.

I idolize this woman. Her work ethic is unparalleled and what she and her brand stand for is powerful. Whether you want a career and/or kids is your choice, but I like what she says about identity. Up to you to interpret identity in your own way, but think about this one. Read more here.

“It is very important for a woman to have a family and equally important to have an identity outside of the home”
